I spent an hour every month doing manual data entry

Not anymore. Every month I'd sit down and spend about an hour logging my business drives into my accounting software by hand — cross-referencing each trip with my calendar to get the purpose right, checking distances, making sure nothing was missed. Tedious, but necessary. Then one morning it hit me — I'm a network automation expert. This is exactly the kind of problem I should be solving, not doing. So I built a solution. My Tesla Model 3 has an API I can poll for real-time position data. Google Maps gives me accurate point-to-point distances. My calendar tells me the purpose of each trip. I connected all three, containerized it on my Synology NAS, and wrapped it in a secure web portal — accessible only from my internal network via Synology authentication. The result is CUBAS.TECH Ritten Registratie Systeem: a fully automated ride logging tool that tracks my business kilometers, categorizes trips, cross-references them with my calendar, and exports everything to Excel ready for upload into my accounting tool. No manual entry. Audit-ready by default. If I'm not solving a problem, I'm not doing my job right. Speaking of solving problems — I'm currently available for new freelance assignments as a Network Automation Engineer/Architect. 20+ years of experience, a strong background in large-scale network infrastructure, and clearly a habit of automating the things that shouldn't be manual.
